Shrek 3

Cast: Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, John Cleese, John Lithgow, and Julie Andrews
Director: Eddie Murphie

From the first two series of Shrek comes its third series from the Dreamworks Picture that would clamor the people, especially the kids, for another adventure of Shrek, Princess Fiona, and their friends once again in the Far Far Away land.

After the acceptance of Fiona's parents, Shrek faces another obstacle in life--being a father to Fiona's babies and a successor to the throne of the Far Far Away. due to anxiety for being an ogre, he decides to seek the worthy one for the throne--Arthur, the coward cousin of Fiona.

While seeking for Arthur, Prince Charming plots a big revenge against Shrek along with all the antagonists in the Far Far Away which includes Captain Hook, Wicked Stepmother of Snow White, and a lot more.

The third part of the Shrek trilogy shows more values than the first two that could help relate the people today who experience inferiority complex to become confident with themselves and learn to be what they wanted to be despite of what others might think of them. the whole Dreamworks Picture Production showed that the Shrek series is more than just a cartoon movie but a moral movie for the whole family.

The Shrek series is a must-seen movie for the family that could inspire everyone to enjoy life and their interaction with other people. Scale of one to five, in which one is the lowest and five is the highest, five is the grade for the third part of the Shek series.

The Haunted Airman

Are you going to stand for what you thought is risght? Is that worth fighting for? Even though nobody believes in you?

The Haunted Airman is written and directed by a british man Chris Durlacher. The movie is originally came from a pychological thriller novel of Dennis Wheatley entitled "The Haunting of Toby Jugg". It was a 1948 novel and Mr. Wheatley is known to his themes osf satanic and madness possessoin.

The movie was produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London. Actually, it was a TV movie previously aired last October 31,2006 under the same network. I honestly watched the movie in youtube, it was quite hard because the movie is divided into eight parts.

Throughout the movie, the Huanted Airman is a very disturbing, creative and satisfying chiling ghost story. The movie is all about the strange tale of a troubled young man named Toby Jugg portrayed by Robert Pattinson. Toby Jugg is british flight leutenat who came back from war disabled. Jugg was confined to a remote mansion in Wales to recuperate. With the help of the kind and patient Sister Sally Grunt played by Melissa Lloyd, Jugg find his way to heal. But Jugg didn't feel well in his first day at the mansion. He was suffering from terrible nightmares and vision of a man smiling at him and he was seeing a dozens of spiders. Jugg told this bizzare things to Sister Grunt but the lady refused to believe him. Afraid the Jugg is loosing his mind, Sister Grunt called Dr. Hal Burns, a psychiatrist played by Julian Sands. By then the doctor always meet Jugg for consultation. Days later, Jugg suspected the myterious actions of his psychiatrist instead of making him better and believe on what his saying and help him recover, Dr. Burns on the other hand believe that Jugg is insane. Now, Jugg's only hope is Julia played by Rachael Stirling, his beautiful aunt and the only person he can trust (he thought so). But like the doctor, Julia unfaithfully believe that Jugg is under abnormal situation. This made Jugg realize that Julia is suspicious and led to doubt her intentions.

The ending was very shocking, it surprised me. Toby killed Julia by cutting her throat, it was very unexpected because in the movie Toby love Julia very much.

The movie will leave you a hanging question. Personally I didn't understand why he killed Julia. It leave me open-mouthed. The Haunted Airman is a persuasive type of movie. It can convince you that Toby Jugg is really insane because there were scenes that he really looks like a mad man. on the other hand you can feel sympathy and pity to Jugg. You can relate your life to him. For example, when your alone and when someone's gonna full you down so you can't succed, it's very disgusting.

I commended that british actor Robert Pattinson played the weird airman with a perfect combination of youthful terror and weary. I like the way he acted as Toby Jugg, he fits to the character and when you watched him in the movie its very reralistic just like in "Twilight" where he played the gorgeous vampire Edward Cullen.

Director Chris Durlacher did a good job of remake. I do really like the sound effects, it gives you goose bumps. The choice of his place in Wales is very enchanting. Very nysterious that fits to the movies tension. The best part of the movie is the "bathtub scene" when you can see Robert Pattinson naked, it made me giggle (oh my gosh!). The body exposure of Robert made me faint. In a rate of ten, I'll give this movie a flat eight.

I was surprised that the British Broadcasting Corporation had banned the Haunted Airman in youtube due to illegal activities. I found out that some uploaders uploads cliffs without permission. Now the Haunted Airman is no longer available in youtube.

A VERY SPECIAL LOVE
( Let's talk about it.........)

Hey guys!. Well, this is my firts time to have entry to our newest blog as a group activity to our subject, OnlineJournalism. Anyways, I'm here now and discuss something about the movie "A Very Special Love". So checkit out.......................!!!!!!!!!!!
The movie A Very Special Love was a 2008 blockbuster romantic-comedy film from Star Cinema and Viva Films; featuring the first team-up of the Pop Princess, Sarah Geronimo with Box-office King, John Lloyd Cruz. And this movie directed by Cathy Garcia Molina received an "A" rating from the Cinema Evaluating Board.
Moreover, the final figures presented by the two film companies confirmed a remarkable P180 million box-office earnings and making it the 4th Highest-Grossing Film in the Philippines, and also it is vying as the no.1 movie of 2008 that made Geronimo and Cruz the Box-Office King and Queen of that year.
This movie of Sarah and John Lloyd was actually not a boring type of Pinoy movie. the typical story between the rich guy and a poor girl again proved an effective story line. Sarah's acting was surprisingly a performance for a best actress. The singer actress proved that she can also act aside from singing. She's so natural in acting if you see her on the big screen.
A Very Special Love is the first big screen team-up of John Lloyd and Sarah, which John Lloyd played the role as Miguel 'Miggy' Montenegro, prersident and owner of the Flippage film that publishes men's magazine called Bachelor. Miggy is handsome and working. His whole life is bent to impressing his half-brother Art played by Rowell Santiago and this drove him to be hot-headed cold-hearted and slave-driver to his editorial staff.
While Sarah here was Adelaida 'Laida' Magtalas. A bread-winner, "jologs" and college graduate who idolizes and has a big crush on Miggy who she got to interview back in her college days. She works on Miggy as editorial assistant of the Bachelor magazine and she is ste to win her dreamboy.
Their movie showed a lot of funny and emotional scenes that showed how gorgeous debonair Loydie fell for a simple, funny and naive Sarah. Their tandem have this refreshing chemistry that lead to the sequel of their movie this coming February 25, titled You Change MY Life. This both lead stars are wishing for the equal success of their first one or if not it will surpass.

Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat

The Family is considered as the small unit inside the society. It contributes a important role because it supported the structure and kinship ties that reflects the Filipino culture.
The typical Filipino family is composed of the father, mother and child. Though there is a strong bond between the family members, still, there is a leak to a broken tree. Mostly, separation and death is the cause of it. though not entirely accused, also these can cause a lot of pain to children and leads the husband or wife go to single parenthood.
This situation brings us to the movie "Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat" a sequel to the 2006 movie Ang Tanging Ina under Star Cinema. It is top billed by Ms. Ai-ai delas Alas who played the role of Ina Montecillo. In the movie Ina Montecillo is a mother of twelve children. She used to worked on different jobs like waitress, office clerk and even odd jobs, like a stunt double just to support her children.
What else could a single mother do to her children? Like Ina, she can give up anything and everything just to make her family happy. In a situation like Ina we are confused on how things work for her? She stays happy though she faces many problems, infact too many challenges but Ina handle it with a smile but this aura of hers led to much pain. Ina struggles a lot pain on her heart because she thought that she is not love by her children. Ina thought of being incapable of accompanying her children made them forget their mothers 46th birthday. This prompted Ina to go back to school to learn while staying awake at night to work.
By a twist of fate, Ina Montecillo became the President of the Philippines. Is that a joke? Infairness to Director Wenn Deramas he stayed away from political understones. In the movie, you will see that there is a glimpses of our country's ills and socia-political problems. President Montecillo's national policies defying logics like "Kung kaya ng iba, ipagawa mo sa kanila" with her sidekick Rowena (Eugene Domingo) became the center of attention. With their forces together Ina and Rowena put humor in the movie. Honestly they are senseless and too tiring undermining the intellegence of the viewers. There was an overload of mangled quotes and sayings and I found it not funny anymore.
Toward the end, it brought tears to my eyes and to the others who watched it. Though I'm not a mother yet, it touched me because you can see yourself giving up anything like power and money for the sake of the famiy. To be humble enough to say "I'm Sorry". Accept that you are inefficient for ruling the country and to know when its time to give up.
The movie made me laugh and cry in between but it also annoyed me because of the bunched of quotes that its too irratating. Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat is a shallow movie that fits to the whole family. It is made for all kapamilya and kapuso too. You can really appreciate the role portrayed by the actors. Wenn Deramas and the staff made a good job.
A mother with a golden heart, caring and loving plus a funny one, what else would you ask for?

High School Musical 3: Senior Year

It's amazing how a TV movie immediately had a cult following and eventually create a culture among its fans. And I have to admit, I'm one of its fans despite my age.

Clueless on what I'm talking about? Well I'm talking about the High School Musical series, which recently had its sequel, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, turned into a big screen movie. Same cast, same setting, brand-new drama, not to mention a wider screen.

The movie still follows the story of Troy (Zac Efron), Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens), Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale), Ryan (Lucas Grabeel) and other East High Wildcats as they trek down their last year in high school. Of course, you already knew what usually happens in the last months of your high school life, but it's an entirely different thing when it's the Wildcats in the story.

Technical wise, there is no difference from the first two movies, and essentially it follows the same format that the first two adapted. But hey, if ever the format was changed a bit, it might ruin the HSM spirit, right?

The cast's personalities also matured a bit in the movie, considering that it has been two years since the story of the first movie occurred. They may be the same people, but the way the plot turns will tell that they are still the same people that we loved - only better.

It's so sad that the gang that we learned to love are finally graduating, so we have to say goodbye to them. But hey, the story dictates that there's a bright future waiting for them. And come to think of it, the HSM series has gone a long way since it started as a TV movie.

UNA

WELCOME TO THE BLOGGER'S WORLD!

One of my friends told me after I told her about our subject, Online Journalism. She asked me the genre of my group's blog site. "Movies", I said.

Movies, an interesting topic to discuss. Most of the movie enthusiasts around the world create a lot of web sites (even blog sites) about the latest movies today and rate it from five star (meaning, a blockbuster movie to clamor for) to one star (meaning, needs to be revised). Some of them creates critics about the actors in the movies, and also the whole production team of the movie but most of them compliments about them.

Movies, movies, movies. Movies are already part of our lives. Since we were kids, we watched and adored many movies which were played by our parents' favorite actors and actresses. What so special about it was that it shaped us to be ourselves today because it partially influenced us to be what we wanted to be.

Me myself is a movie enthusiast though i rarely watch latest movies in cinemas. I usually watch it when there is a pirated copy of it in sidewalks already. It is really cheaper to buy pirated copies than watching it in cinemas. You'll save time, money, energy, and effort in going to cinemas. You could tell Mr. Edu Manzano everything about my blog if you want. *chuckles*

What's the catch? Movies affect our way of living, unconsciously. It make us cry, afraid, upset, laugh, and amaze. They take us to a different kind of world in which we attach our souls to different situations and relate our reality from it. Movies are the picture of reality and creativity of people's minds. Movies... an escape world of reality.
